Recognizing the need for a seamless and engaging brand experience as Rebel Athletic expanded its retail presence, I took the lead in developing a strategy that would both introduce new customers to the Rebel story and keep existing customers engaged with fresh, inspiring content. My objective was to ensure that every customer—whether discovering Rebel for the first time or already loyal to the brand—felt deeply connected to the brand’s lifestyle, innovation, and community.
The Goal:
Craft an introduction that clearly communicated Rebel Athletic’s mission, innovation, and values to new customers.
Reinforce brand loyalty and reignite engagement with existing customers through compelling storytelling and exclusive content.
Build long-term brand affinity by designing a consistent and immersive experience across both print and digital touchpoints.
The Execution:
I developed a multi-faceted approach to immerse customers in the Rebel story and sustain engagement over time while ensuring a cohesive brand presence across all touchpoints.
To welcome new customers into the Rebel Athletic world, I conceptualized and designed a high-end mini book to be included in every retail purchase. This beautifully crafted piece served as a brand manifesto, offering a deep dive into:
The Rebel Origin Story – Showcasing how Rebel Athletic disrupted the industry and became a leader in luxury performance wear.
Innovation & Craftsmanship – Educating customers on Rebel’s exclusive technologies, premium materials, and cutting-edge designs.
To sustain engagement and nurture loyalty among existing customers, I spearheaded the launch of The Rebel Review newsletter—a quarterly print insert included in retail shipments. By curating exclusive content, behind-the-scenes insights, and community-driven storytelling, I ensured that customers remained inspired and connected to the Rebel brand beyond their initial purchase.
Through this strategic initiative, I created a cohesive and compelling brand journey that not only attracted new customers but also deepened the relationship with Rebel’s existing community, reinforcing the brand’s position as a leader in luxury performance wear.
